As predicted by a friend who’s a hardcore PTW user, the brushless motor in Systema’s new Infinity gearbox takes the place of the bevel gear in the legacy unit.
We know this because Systema CEO Kumi has again been on Twitter, fanning the flames of Infinity hype. I’ve posted the new pics and videos in this article and they give us a much better look inside the new gearbox.
We already know that Infinity is dual sector gear (DSG) based. However, the news is this looks to be interchangeable with a standard sector gear – for high FPS applications.
We also know that the gearbox uses helical planetary gears.
