WTF HAO?

When you ask a boutique airsoft receiver set manufacturer what’s new, hoping for an update on their L119A2 project, make sure you specify your parameters.

In fairness, if you are into your civilian or 3-Gun PTW builds this could be the receiver set for you; and it’s not built any less tough than one of HAO’s military receiver sets.

The HAO HDR is CNC’d from billet 7075 T6 aluminium throughout, and yes – it will be available in this rather exotic naked finish, as well as an anodised version.

As an object it’s really curious – with a totally skeletal upper and lower. It also features an ambidextrous mag catch and bolt release – repurposing HK416A5 components.

A mono-body trigger guard and scalloped magwell are thrown in for good measure, just when you thought it couldn’t get any more speedsoft.

Like HAO’s BD556 receiver set, there’s a big market for this sort of thing in Asia – particularly in Japan. After the release of the HK416N, HK416A5, HK416F and L119A2 IUR – all catering for military impression markets – it’s now time for HAO to redress the balance.
