Pics: HAO
Yesterday I published a blog which turned out to be rather more popular than expected. The blog showed leaked pics of the new HAO HK416A5 and CAG HK416D.
Official pics have now been released.
Needless to say, I wanted to know more. This is what I’ve been told:
The HK416A5 will precede the CAG HK416D.
The HK416A5 will be available to order direct from HAO from Monday 12 March, or from Tackleberry right now. He’s already accepting pre-orders and a few customers have already secured theirs.
You can also place a pre-order for the CAG 416D with Tackleberry. There will be only TEN (10) CAG units in the first batch and it has yet to be decided if the item will be carried as a stock item.
Tackleberry is contactable through his Facebook group.
The detail in this kit is really quite immense. As such HAO is planning a manual so customers will know where all the pins and other small parts go.
Here are a few shots from that project, in no particular order:
One really interesting detail is the bolt stop, which is true ambi. It’ll be fascinating to see how this works in practice.
A few more pics? Why not? The A5 also comes in black, incidentally.
Big thanks to Bismarck for the scoop and Miguel for the excellent pics.
