I’m yet to use the Unity Tactical FAST Optic Riser, so a full review is a little way off. However, considering its core function is to raise the centreline of a lower third co-witness optic to Unity’s magical 2.26″, I can’t see it being much less beneficial for Aimpoint Micros and 3X magnifiers than Unity’s dedicated products.
You can read more about those on the blog:

Ostensibly, as opposed to supporting directly Micro-format optics, Unity’s FAST Optic Riser will enhance anything that’s picatinny based. It’s usually seen supporting EOTechs and other blocky optics which feature built-in lower third capabilities.
Nevertheless, it’s a cheaper way to access that sweet 2.26″ life for Aimpoint users who already own lower third co-witness mounts; so is worth exploring for that reason alone.

As is usual for Unity, the mount largely is composed of 7075-T6 aluminium and is really well made, the example shown here exhibiting tanodized hard ano. Bear in mind that due to the vagaries of the anodising process, an exact match between tan ano items not dyed at the same time is unlikely – but that just underpins the Fifty Shades of FDE (or, indeed, RAL8000) life.

The mount is a cantilever design, so it can be used to get that optic out over the rail – although that’s not an issue for me using an L119A2 replica with a monolithic upper receiver, should I choose to mount an optic further up front.
One advantage I didn’t think of until trying it out, is that the cantilever format also extends the picatinny rearwards when fitted in reverse orientation. This gives more options for rear BUIS and magnifier mount placement.

As I said to begin with a full review will follow use, but I’m already impressed with Unity’s FAST Optic Riser – available in the UK from Tactical Kit.
