Last week, I wrote a blog about a new Tackleberry service: Super Tuning. Details were scarce at that time, but my assumption was that Super Tuning would involve internal work in order to leverage marginal performance gains.
This week I don’t have many more details, but in conversation with Tackleberry I’ve learned that he’ll be implementing something called Level 1 Gear Box Detailing in my SGT 416 build.
What does Gear Box Detailing entail? Well, Tac tells me that he’ll be publishing a Super Tuning menu quite soon and that Gear Box Detailing has three options, or Levels. Level 1 represents foundation gear box Super Tuning, while Level three is all the bells and whistles.
It’s great to hear this direct from Tac and I’m pretty pleased my gearbox will be given this kind of additional attention, as readers may imagine. It will be interesting to find out what Gear Box Detailing means in the scope of PTWs. Given that it’s part of the Super Tuning service menu, I’m guessing it has something to do with gearbox smoothness, beyond the normal spit and polish.
