HAO today sent some promo pics of their new Geissele 1.93 Super Precision Scope Mount 30mm Replica in DDC (Desert Dirt Colour).

From what I understand, each mount is CNC lathed from a single 7075-T6 aluminium billet. At that point, even the two top caps which secure the optic are part of the structure. However, they are then EDM wire cut to separate them.

Talk about doing it the hard way, but apparently it means exceptional tolerances are maintained.

Needless to say the mounts are then anodised in black or DDC, laser engraved etc. I think DDC looks best (I have a black one here, which is a bit meh TBH).
