M*A*S*H

I ordered some 1″ ITW MASH hooks from Heinnie, as an alternative to the HK snap equivalent. The snap hook on my PIG Dropslider sling is looking a bit worse for wear, so it has given me the opportunity to try a different mechanism.

I like the push-button operation of the MASH hooks. They are heavy and look as if they can take serious abuse. Their one piece construction does away with moving parts, so they are less likely to develop problems or fail with prolonged, hard use. We’ll see how that goes.

As usual, shipping from Heinnie was blisteringly fast.
