I think I’m probably the last person in the world to own one of Perr Mike’s awesome SureFire suppressors. I’d only heard good things and I knew Mike had a new batch in stock, so I pushed the button. Shipping was super fast and comms were excellent.

This can is very nice indeed. It’s the proper 6″ version and the finish is sublime: a silky smooth anodized black with real depth to it. Seems a shame to paint it.

The can consists of two parts. The front is the suppressor portion. This is hollow and ready to accept a filling of your choice (foam, fuzzy felt, etc). The rear is threaded and is a dummy version of SureFire’s over-hider lock assembly. There is no hider per se: the product threads directly onto the barrel.
The rear of the dummy lock portion is recessed, but this will need to be opened up slightly for some PTW outer barrels (e.g. SGT 416).

The dummy lock and suppressor portions screw together nice and tight, thanks to a lubed o-ring; so don’t use a butane torch or heat gun on the assembly if you can’t unscrew it by hand. The thread between the two halves is CW. I whacked mine in a Workmate to open it, covered with a rag to preserve the finish.

I’m really impressed with the quality of this item and also its robustness and finish. I also like the fact that it’s solid. There’s nothing worse than a wobbly suppressor.

Mike offers both CW and CCW versions.
