I love Humbrol Dark Brown 29. It can be used to dust your blaster – preserving trades – or it can be used as the perfect starting point for pretty much any paint job. Not too dark, not too light. Not too yellow, not too green. It’s strength is that it’s a ‘nothing’ brown – blending in, according to the light, in pretty much any pattern; or great on its own.

I’ve tried a number of brands and colours recently. Each has a niche. But none come close to Humbrol Dark Brown 29 in the kind of paint jobs I do. Not Krylon, not Fosco, not Halfords.
