No – not a hybrid of Gene Simmons and Brian Molko. Although that would be awesome.

In my last SOF inspired build update, I happily reported that the gun handled well and I really enjoyed using it.

It played as it looks – like a solid, minimalistic and well crafted part of a serious airsoft war-fighter’s skirmish toolkit…even though it was just me using it. I like guns which make me look competent.

I’ve had a few weeks to reflect and I can’t help thinking that the no-nonsense, keep-it-simple-stupid approach to building the gun (and which is inherent in its form) has leant a low-drag attitude to my game. Simply put, it’s an awesome placebo. A gun which I can pull out in the afternoon, after a disappointing morning’s performance and think, “Yes – this will up my game. Time to bring the pain.”

It’s also the one build that simply does not need to change. No free solo anxiety here.
