I mocked up the Hit Takers upper, to review a few details. I’m still pretty certain I won’t be using BUIS. But, as I reported last week, I changed my mind about sticking with a T1 on this build.
I don’t need the NV compatibility of the EXPS3-0, so I decided to buy an EXPS2-0. As I mentioned to Jack of Gray Fox – while those guys are out doing their night ops thing, I’m on my second cocoa.
So, it may come as a surprise when I say a DBAL is also on the way; but don’t panic, it’s a replica. I’ve heard good things about the build of G&P’s DBAL and, most importantly, I think it’ll look good. Chunky and lumpen is king on this build.
I’m not interested in function, as the DBAL will never be used for the purpose it was designed. Although this does raise an interesting point, because I will have to completely remove the unit for Hit Takers. Lasers aren’t allowed (thanks Callum, for that intel).
Anyway, for this first pass I stuck the Hit Takers upper on my Tackleberried KAC lower. It looks fine, but I’m over KAC – so I may think about swapping the receiver for something else, in the longer term. We’ll see.
