There’s simply no forgetting that the Fight Club Custom gang are, first and foremost, fanatical about this visionary AEG platform we’re all addicted to – regardless of the format we may choose as individuals (PTW or FTW).
However, I sometimes forget that the cosmetic parts they produce are chosen by them not necessarily to satisfy existing demand – but to create demand by educating us about emerging trends in the RS community. They are cool hunters – finding and bringing cool to the community.
As far as I’m concerned, they pioneered the race gun look and the breakthrough of tube rails amongst PTW users – manufacturing their own version of the Troy TRX to get the look. As well as being influenced by the Hawaiian guys, I owe a debt to FCC.
And, a bit like Stu from Project PTW, they are passionate about the look and feel of their own personal guns. There are too many great FCC Team builds to choose from, but one of my favourites is Amoom’s MI build – which was formerly Sailun’s. Based around a Midwest Industries Gen2 tube, more pics are below.
I don’t even need to hold the gun to know how well it handles. It’s a beautiful, light, minimalist K.I.S.S. build – and the paint job really does add that distinctive finishing touch (but I really do love that cutoff RVG).
